Mission Statement - One does not become a Christian simply by saying he or she wants to be a Christian any more than one becomes a doctor by enrolling in medical school. One is formed only gradually into the life chosen. Slowly and gradually we are opened to God's life in us, and in God's call for us to share that life together in community. This is a life-long process. Our young people are like apprentices. The Christian life is explored, taught, shared, and witnessed by those on the road with them. They don't just learn about being Christian, but become Christian through the process of lived experiences of Christianity. The process takes a long time and it entails much more than book knowledge.
Goal - The long-term goal of our Faith formation process includes the whole family as well as the child. It is our long-term goal to provide the entire parish with a religious education program that helps us to better understand our Catholic faith and also encourage us to grow in our relationship with God and each other.
The focus of the Family Faith Formation process is centered on:
Grade Level - Those families who have children in grades one through eight are involved in the Family Faith Formation Program.
